Mosaic Temple The town of Kurume is famous for the production of large, single picture, warp and weft resist futon covers. The flanking lanterns and the narrow spire on the top (sorin) suggest this structure is a Buddhist pagoda. The characters can be translated as “good fortune and long life for 10,000 years”.
